We’re excited to welcome you to the farm for the 2026 blueberry season! Right now, we’re picking Bluecrop blueberries, available for both U-Pick and pre-picked. Bluecrop is one of Michigan’s most popular blueberry varieties, known for its large size, firm texture, and sweet, well-balanced flavor—perfect for fresh eating, baking, or freezing. We are open rain or shine, and because varieties change throughout the season, we encourage you to follow us on Facebook or Instagram for the latest updates or give us a call before heading out.

U-Pick FAQ
Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
-
Where is U-pick located?
Our picking location can change throughout the season based on field availability. Just follow the signs when you arrive or ask at the market. We’ll point you in the right direction.
-
Do I need to bring my own buckets?
Nope – we’ve got you covered with buckets for picking. If you’d rather bring your own, you’re welcome to. Just keep in mind that our scales are set to tare, so bringing your own containers may result in a higher weight.
-
When’s the best time to pick?
Mornings are cool and quiet, but expect a little dew on the bushes. If you prefer a drier field, aim for late morning – around 9 to 10am.
-
What should I wear?
Whatever you’re comfortable in! Just remember sunscreen, especially on sunny days. Sturdy shoes are helpful if the ground’s a little damp.
-
Can I bring a stroller or wagon?
Yes! Wagons and strollers are welcome in the fields and can be especially handy for hauling kiddos (or your blueberry buckets!).
-
Are there restrooms in the field?
There are no bathrooms in the fields themselves, but you’ll find clean, air-conditioned restrooms inside the farm market. (And quite a few treats!)
-
Can I bring my dog?
For food safety reasons, we kindly ask that you leave dogs at home when visiting the fields.
-
Is there a place to eat?
Yes! Picnics are welcome and encouraged. We have shaded picnic tables near the playground where you can relax and enjoy your lunch – with a view.
-
How much does U-pick cost?
Blueberries are $1.85 per pound. No entry fee – just pay for what you pick!
-
What blueberry varieties can I pick?
We grow several varieties in our U-pick fields, and each one brings a little something different:
- Bluecrop – A sweet, well-balanced, dependable favorite—great for everything from pies to snacking.
- Duke – Hardy and durable with a slightly tart kick—perfect for fresh eating.
- Elliott – A late-season variety that’s firm and tart with great keeping power (usually ready mid-August).
- Blue Jay – Mild and crisp with a touch of tartness. Fill a bowl for snacking or toss them into your favorite blueberry dessert.
- Jersey – Extra sweet and juicy! Exceptional choice for jams, baking, or just savoring by the handful.
